Set in 1919, New York, this new play by Tony Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg, explores the dilemma of a young publisher torn between helping his lover or his best friend. With limited funds, he can only publish one book and must choose between the memoirs of his famous lover, or his best friend’s novel whose marriage to an heiress depends on its success. When a mysterious printing machine is delivered chaos ensues. ”The Violet Hour” makes its way to the Twin Cities following a stint on Broadway.
