Restoring a Masterwork
through October 31, 2004

Have you ever wondered how conservators clean and restore famous works of art? Well, here's your chance to get a first hand look. Throughout the fall, MIA is having Il Guercino's "Ermina and the Shepards" restored. The process will be completed in one of the museum's exhibition galleries and open to the public. The restoration of this 17th century work is being completed in partnership with conservators from the Upper Midwest Conservation Association. Plan to visit on a Sunday morning and also enjoy a performance from the Acoustic Sunrise Concert Series.
